About the board
Ms.Medicine is governed by a small Board of Directors who provides oversight and guidance to the organization. Board Members include: Lisa Larkin, MD, Teresa Tanner, Yousuf Ahmad, Mahendra Vora and Keri Rickenbaugh.
Yousuf J. Ahmad
Dr. Yousuf J. Ahmad serves as the President & CEO of AssureCare® as well as the Managing Director of Healthcare for Vora Ventures. He brings over 20 years of healthcare leadership experience encompassing health insurance, physician group practice, and multi-hospital health system experience. Dr. Yousuf J. Ahmad most recently served as the Senior Vice President of System Development for Mercy Health – the largest health system in the State of Ohio and one of the largest in the United States. In this role, he is responsible for all system growth strategies, including, but not limited to, mergers & acquisitions, partnerships, affiliations, etc. In addition to this role, he also served as the President of the system’s Behavioral Health Institute.

Anu Vora is the founder and Managing Partner of Candid Ventures, a venture studio that bets on big ideas in the Healthcare, Education, and Talent sectors. She is a serial entrepreneur who, immediately after graduating from the University of Michigan, founded AdmitAlly, an Education Technology company. Within 3 years AdmitAlly was acquired and Candid Ventures was born. In addition to Ms.Medicine, Anu serves on the board of Nestlings, Shift Up, AssureCare, TalentNow, and other high-growth companies. Anu believes in backing and building businesses that uplift vulnerable and overlooked populations. Through her investments, she aims to leave the world better than we found it.
Teresa Tanner is a seasoned C-Suite executive and board member with extensive experience in change management, collaboration and influence, critical thinking, innovation, courageous leadership, and integrity. She served as Executive Vice President for nearly 20 years with Fifth Third Bancorp, including serving as Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Administrative Officer. She was named to the top 25 “Most Powerful Women in Banking,” by American Banker magazine in 2018 and 2019.
Keri Rickenbaugh is the Chief Operating Officer for Ms.Medicine. With more than 20 years of healthcare experience, including practice development, management and operations, Rickenbaugh brings extensive leadership in building high-functioning teams, and the ability to turn strategy into operational success. Previously, she served as Program Manager in Executive Health for both TriHealth and UC Health. Prior to those roles, she served as the Clinical Operations Manager for the UC Health Women’s Center, where she worked side-by-side with Lisa Larkin, MD, to strategically build clinical operations.
