Summary: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following – of note, as a young start up, other duties will be assigned.

The Marketing Director is responsible for oversight and execution of day-to-day and long-term marketing communication functions for the Ms.Medicine organization, including its affiliated providers, educational arm (Ms.MedEd ™), Physician Executive Group (PEG), and Provider Alliance. As a key member in a small-but-nimble start-up, this position requires someone who can provide big picture, strategic thinking as well as the ability to jump in and execute on delivery of tactics.

The Marketing Director’s key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist CMO in execution of marketing communication and public relations strategies to grow the Ms.Medicine brand nationally, as well as at local provider level
  • Develop marketing plans to launch new practices in specific markets
  • Create meaningful content – for web, print, e-news, social, whitepapers, media, presentations, etc.
  • Create and execute marketing strategies to grow educational events for consumers and clinicians
  • Develop and manage multi-channel marketing approach for reaching and growing target audiences
  • Monitor and measure marketing efforts
  • Supervise vendor partners (designers, writers, etc.) and manage timelines and budgets

Job Competencies:

  • Proven track record in marketing communications/public relations (8+ years of experience; 4+ in healthcare)
  • Physician relations experience
  • Superior communication skills (written and oral)
  • Significant experience developing and executing marketing plans to raise brand awareness, recruit customers and drive sales
  • Media relations experience
  • Event planning and marketing experience
  • Superior organization skills
  • Excellent presentation and networking skills
  • Extensive knowledge of our business, industry and competitive landscape
  • Ability to reach and relate to all levels within a prospective partner organization
  • Works collaboratively with others to drive results
  • Extensive social media experience – (IG, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) content creation, engagement strategies, targeted advertising, and growth
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as iOS programs, such as Keynote, iMovie, etc.
  • Experience working in WordPress, Constant Contact, SproutSocial
  • Experience in SEO/PPC a plus
  • Graphic design experience (AI, Canva, PPT) a plus

Travel: Travel of approximately 10% – 20% required

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university. Master’s Degree preferred. At least 8 years of experience in a marketing role, some of which includes management experience. At least 4 years in a healthcare marketing role.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as regulatory documents, basic legal contracts, and operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

Financial Skills: Basic accounting skills required. Assists with fiscal responsibilities of the department as requested. Monitors budget expenditures; identifies and researches variances/problems. Assists in tracking and monitoring revenue, expense, and allocations. Provides applicable reports. Researches information for major purchases. May assist with annual budget preparation.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Keynote.
