Summary: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following – of note, as a young start up, other duties will be assigned.

The Director of Operations is accountable for the administrative and clinical services for one or more physician office sites including establishment of the Ms.Medicine standards for the units and monitoring of the quality of patient care at those sites. Responsible for overseeing operations of all practice units and ensuring units operate according to established standards.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Management of all duties related to opening a provider practice
  • Assistance with hiring of clinical staff at Ms.Medicine locations
  • Provision of practice operations consulting for the life of the provider contract
  • Obtain skills to be Super User for iPatientcare electronic medical record

Travel: Travel of approximately 50% required

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university required, master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MSN, MPH) preferred.  Five or more years related ambulatory care operations.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as regulatory documents, basic legal contracts, and operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

Financial Skills: Ability to interpret P/L statements and balance sheets.  Basic accounting skills required.  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Typing skills should be a minimum of 55 wpm.
